Job summary

Mechanics Bank is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our on-site team in Tigard, Oregon. You will handle routine teller transactions, serve customers in person and by phone, and support sales of additional banking products.

Expected tasks include cash balancing, compliance, and branch support. A high school diploma or GED is required, with at least a year in banking and customer service roles. Travel is minimal.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required; additional experience may substitute for a degree.
• Minimum 1 year of banking experience with basic knowledge of bank deposit products and services preferred.
• 1 year in customer service and cash handling in a customer facing role required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine teller transactions and processes deposits, withdrawals, checks, transfers, and mail/night drop transactions.
• Provides exemplary customer service in person and over the phone; educates customers on banking products and services.
• Maintains cash balancing; reviews transactions for red flags and ensures compliance with policies and regulations.
• Assists with branch opening/closing, audits, and other administrative/compliance tasks.
