Job summary

GCA is seeking an On-Site Audio/Visual Technician to join our team. You will be the primary technical resource for events, meetings, and productions, planning, installing, operating, and maintaining a wide range of AV systems on site.

This full-time role requires 5+ years of hands-on AV experience, proficiency with professional audio consoles, video switching, videoconferencing platforms, and hybrid event workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive, hands-on AV production experience.
• Proficient with analog and digital audio consoles and signal routing.
• Experience with video switching, projection, LED displays, and digital signage.
• Strong knowledge of videoconferencing platforms and hybrid event workflows.
• Familiar with structured cabling and AV-over-IP systems.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and strike AV equipment for live events and meetings.
• Serve as on-site technical point of contact for clients.
• Install and maintain permanent and temporary AV systems.
• Troubleshoot AV issues in real time.
• Conduct pre-event technical walkthroughs and sound checks.
• Maintain equipment inventory and coordinate repairs.
• Collaborate with IT, facilities, and production teams.
• Support hybrid and virtual events using Zoom/Teams.
• Document system configurations and maintenance records.
• Train and mentor junior AV staff; coordinate with vendors.
