Job summary

BBP is seeking an Automation Technician for a full-time, on-site role based in Pelham, AL. The technician will install, configure, and maintain automation equipment and control systems used across various industrial applications.

Daily responsibilities include diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting robotics and electrical components to ensure reliable operation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of panel-building or electrical experience.
• Associate degree in electrical field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Wire, assemble, and test control panels based on design specs.
• Ensure all panels meet quality standards and customer requirements.
• Read and interpret electromechanical drawings for accurate assembly.
• Use hand tools and power tools (e.g., cordless drills) for fabrication and installation.
• Perform diagnostics with multimeters and testing devices.
• Troubleshoot and understand PLC logic and wireless telemetry systems.
• Assist with shipments in and out, including preparing packing slips and labels.
