Job summary

BBP is seeking an Automation Technician for a full-time, on-site role based in Pelham, AL. The technician will install, configure, and maintain automation equipment and control systems used across various industrial applications.

Qualifications

  • Perform diagnostics with multimeters and testing devices.
  • Troubleshoot and understand PLC logic and wireless telemetry systems.
  • Assist with shipments in and out, including preparing packing slips and labels.

The Automation Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Pelham, AL. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining automation equipment and control systems used across various industrial applications. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues, performing scheduled and preventive maintenance on automated systems, and supporting robotics and electrical components to ensure reliable operation. The Automation Technician collaborates with engineering and operations teams to support system upgrades, implement improvements, and help ensure safety and compliance with industry standards. The role also requires accurate documentation of work performed, clear communication with internal stakeholders, and occasional support during commissioning or project implementation activities.

Key Responsibilities:
