Job summary

Convergix Automation Solutions is recruiting an Automation Engineer to join the Greenfield, IN site, embedded on site with a major automotive electronics manufacturer. You will program, troubleshoot, and optimize automated equipment on inverter assembly and test lines, collaborating with customer teams to improve throughput and quality.

Qualifications

• Four-year university degree in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site automation engineering resource for inverter assembly and test lines, from installation through steady-state production.
• Program, troubleshoot, and optimize automated production equipment including robots (Fanuc, IAI), PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Keyence), machine vision, screw driving, and material dispensing systems.
• Support electro-mechanical tooling, fixturing, and equipment modifications; lead root-cause analysis on downtime and quality issues.
• Drive continuous improvement in cycle time, yield, and OEE with customer teams.
• Develop and maintain equipment documentation, standard work, and preventive maintenance; train operators and technicians.
• Manage schedules and budgets, collaborating with clients and internal PM resources to ensure deliverables and safety.
• Capture knowledge to strengthen future client projects and provide exceptional client experiences.
