Job summary

Cox Automotive’s Manheim division seeks a Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor to lead the daily operation of the mechanic shop. The role requires strong leadership, a passion for cars, and hands-on oversight of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure quality and safety.

You will direct Technicians, coordinate with vendors, manage work orders, and uphold company standards. A background in vehicle reconditioning or shop work, plus ASE certs, is preferred along with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 5 years in vehicle reconditioning, detailing, mechanical or body shop experience
• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years in related field may be acceptable
• Master's degree with 1 year experience or Ph.D. with up to 1 year experience
• ASE certifications preferred and beneficial

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day direction to Auto Maintenance team members and vendors
• Supervise technicians, assign duties and ensure work quality and safety
• Verify repairs meet company standards and regulatory requirements
• Review work orders, approve invoices, and monitor staffing to ensure efficiency
