Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. (CEI) is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for energy projects in La Salle, IL. The role focuses on coordinating field and project teams, vendors, and customers to drive project success.

The APM will support review and tracking of proposals, change orders, submittals, and logs, while leading team meetings and guiding Project Engineers under the Project Manager and field team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as Project Engineer in electrical construction (MEP acceptable).
• 5+ years of related experience, including managing smaller projects.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead team meetings with Project Engineers and Coordinators in partnership with the Project Manager.
• Coordinate with scheduling to populate CEI schedule data.
• Identify cost impacts from RFIs, submittals, and design changes; notify promptly.
• Price change orders consistently for PM review and approval.
• Manage close-out documents and project records.
• Coordinate commissioning with third parties; track open items.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors; manage material releases.
