Job summary

Sargent Electric is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities at the Greater Point Pleasant, West Virginia project site. This on-site role emphasizes safety, quality, and operational excellence.

You will help manage schedules, budgets, submittals, RFIs, and documentation while coordinating with field teams, vendors, and clients to drive project success and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience with standard construction management applications and listed software.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a technical college degree with 1-3 years related discipline preferred.
• Some relevant experience, 3-5 years in a multi-trade construction environment, preferred but not required.
• Excellent written communication skills. Proficient with computers, including MS Office.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with diverse individuals.
• Able to multi-task and work under tight timeframes.
• Experience with BESS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Champion Safety Culture and uphold safety standards on-site.
• Coordinate project scope, schedule, and cost with PMs.
• Support development and monitoring of project schedules and budgets.
• Maintain strict document control for drawings, specs, logs, and records.
• Process submittals and RFIs to support fabrication and field work.
• Coordinate procurement, material tracking, and delivery logistics.
• Interface with field teams to ensure quality and safety.
• Assist with changes, risks, and change-order development.
• Support invoicing and forecast inputs.
• Communicate with clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Lead or assist meetings; document minutes and action items.
• Assist project closeout activities and turnover requirements.
• Support team development and mentorship.
• Pursue learning and mentorship opportunities.
