Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our rural US summer camp. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and uphold allergen safety in a fast-paced, on-site setting.

This seasonal contract (May–Sept) requires a minimum 6 days/70 hours per week, with competitive pay and benefits including room & board and travel allowance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and batch baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities; able to supervise staff.
• Ability to stand long hours in hot/cold kitchen and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to live on-site at rustic rural camp facilities for the season.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; maintain high-energy work environment.
• Oversee prep, production, portion control, and scratch-cooking execution.
• Manage allergen safety protocols and health department sanitation standards.
• Assist with inventory control and daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen and campers/camp leadership.
