Job summary

Family Tree Farms, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee daily AP operations and transactional accounting across Reedley and Kingsburg facilities.

You will supervise the AP team, support month-end close, and help maintain strong internal controls in a high-volume environment. The role emphasizes hands-on accounting, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration with operations and purchasing to resolve issues and drive efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent.
• 3–5 years progressive accounting experience with AP/transactional work.
• Experience supervising accounting staff.
• Strong GL, reconciliations, internal controls.
• Excel proficiency and accounting software skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage competing priorities.
• On-site work at Reedley or Kingsburg facilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounts payable operations and invoice processing.
• Supervise AP team and ensure timely processing.
• Manage large volumes of transactions with internal controls.
• Support month-end/year-end close and journal entries.
• Prepare reconciliations and analyze general ledger.
• Assist with audits and special projects.
• Collaborate with facilities and departments to resolve issues.
