Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller in Fresno, CA to lead the Accounts Payable function across multiple entities and mentor a growing accounting team. The role emphasizes AP leadership, vendor management, and 1099 administration while aligning with broader accounting priorities.

You will partner with accounting leadership to ensure accurate monthly closes, reconciliations, fixed assets, and robust financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Previous accounting management/leadership experience.
• Strong Accounts Payable knowledge.
• Experience overseeing or working closely with vendors and vendor processes.
• Experience with 1099s.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations/work papers and fixed assets.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Experience with Vista by Viewpoint is highly valuable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Accounts Payable team.
• Oversee vendor management across multiple entities.
• Manage the 1099 process.
• Support month-end close.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations and work papers.
• Assist with fixed asset accounting.
• Support accurate general ledger activity and financial reporting.
• Assist with audit requirements and accounting projects.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and issues.
• Partner with accounting leadership as priorities arise.
