Job summary

Pfizer’s Comparative Medicine team seeks a technically capable associate to provide basic husbandry and health surveillance of laboratory animals in Cambridge, MA. You will handle restraint, injections, blood collection, and support for research studies under veterinary guidance.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, and weekend/holiday work as essential personnel. On-site work with comprehensive benefits and salary commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED with 2 to 3 years of experience.
• Nice-to-have: AALAS Certification preferred.
• Experience working with laboratory animals.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine animal husbandry duties as directed.
• Observe and report status of animal health, food and water consumption, appearance, behavior.
• Provide support in basic veterinary medical treatment as prescribed by veterinary staff.
• Support cage wash equipment operations and maintenance.
• Support research by providing basic technical services (restraint, dose administration, blood collection) to researchers.
