Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to travel to off-site locations and respond to urgent matters.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and related hardware.
  • Must work in environments with allergens, hazards, and various animal species.
  • Must wear PPE as required (scrubs, gloves, head cover, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Observe animal health and environment and report atypical findings.
  • Perform animal husbandry: feeding, watering, cage cleaning.
  • Handle, restrain, and sex laboratory animals.
  • Prepare and distribute routine medications like medicated water or feed.
  • Maintain vivarium rooms and equipment sanitation and cleanliness.
  • Keep work areas stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Collect and dispose of waste and maintain records.
