Job summary

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s in engineering and 5–10+ years in aerospace/defense quality, with GD&T and IPC standards proficiency. On-site work with occasional travel up to 5% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical) or related technical field.
• 5 to 10+ years in quality, manufacturing, or hardware engineering within aerospace, defense, or unmanned aerial systems (UAS).
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems is required.
• Proficiency in GD&T and IPC soldering/assembly standards.
• Troubleshooting and support to optimize system performance for end-users.
• Working knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001 or other major Quality Management Systems.
• Strong collaboration and communication with internal and external groups.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production by monitoring operations, enforcing quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Review and approve First Article Inspections per AS9102 requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering for New Product Introduction to ensure smooth transition to mass production.
• Lead failure analysis, MRB activities, and investigations to resolve defects.
• Maintain compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Review drawings as part of the pre-release drawing review process.
• Collaborate with suppliers to improve manufacturing processes using PFMEA.
• Participate in internal audits to ensure effective QMS implementation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
