Job summary

MAPP Technologies L.L.C. is seeking an Aerospace Cost Estimator in Joplin, Missouri to prepare detailed cost estimates for aerospace components based on engineering drawings and OEM specifications.

You will collaborate with engineering, operations, supply chain, and sales to validate assumptions and ensure competitive pricing. Day-to-day duties include analyzing labor, material, tooling, and overhead; evaluating manufacturing methods such as machining, welding, coating, and assembly; and

Qualifications

• Cost modelling and budgeting experience for manufacturing environments.
• Strong data interpretation and risk assessment abilities.
• Experience with aerospace/defense manufacturing processes is beneficial.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, operations, and commercial teams.
• Bachelor's or associate degree or equivalent experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for aerospace components and assemblies.
• Analyze labor, material, tooling, and overhead requirements for quotes.
• Evaluate manufacturing methods (machining, welding, coating, assembly).
• Develop accurate cost models to support pricing decisions and proposals.
• Monitor actual costs vs estimates and identify variances for improvement.
