Job summary

ACME Industries in Elk Grove Village, IL is seeking a Quotation Engineer who can translate hands-on machining and manufacturing knowledge into accurate, defendable cost estimates for high-mix, low-volume aerospace and defense parts.

You will read complex drawings, apply GD&T, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and Operations to deliver competitive quotes and implement tools and processes that improve speed and accuracy.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent hands-on technical background.
5+ years of experience in a precision machining environment, preferably aerospace/defense.
Proficiency reading and interpreting drawings and GD&T; familiarity with AS9100/ITAR is a plus.

Responsibilities

Review RFQs, drawings, 3D CAD models and technical docs to develop detailed cost/time estimates.
Prepare formal quotation packages with pricing, lead times, notes and risk assessments.
Ensure quotes comply with AS9100, ITAR, DFARS and flow-down requirements.
Support pricing strategies for long-term and high-volume programs.
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Procurement and Operations to ensure feasibility and capability reflection.
