Job summary

The Atlas Group is seeking a Manufacturing Cost Estimator to analyze and calculate total manufacturing costs for aerospace products. You will review BOMs, routings, and drawings, performing should-cost analyses to drive cost efficiency and pricing decisions.

You will collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and finance to ensure designs are technically feasible and cost-effective, while supporting make-versus-buy decisions and cost-reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

• Technical knowledge of aerospace cost estimation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates for new products, assemblies, and customer RFQs.
• Analyze material, labor, tooling, machine, and overhead costs.
• Review engineering drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing routings.
• Perform should-cost analyses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Evaluate alternative manufacturing methods, suppliers, and production processes.
• Partner with engineering on Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and cost optimization initiatives.
• Support pricing strategies and business case development.
