Job summary

North Carolina A&T State University’s Student Health Center seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to deliver primary care to students on campus, with independent prescribing and collaboration with physicians as needed.

You will oversee routine medical services, health promotion, and preventive care, supervise staff, and contribute to student wellness within an academic health setting. This position is on-site with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the NC Board of Nursing.
• Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program approved by the NC Joint Subcommittee.
• "Approved to practice medical acts" by the Joint Subcommittee.

Responsibilities

• Deliver primary health care to students within the University community.
• Diagnose and treat a broad scope of medical illnesses and refer when needed.
• Counsel on health promotion and disease prevention; supervise/train staff and students when applicable.
