Job summary

Iowa Select Farms is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist - Feed to join our finance team. You will validate, process, and file invoices, ensuring approvals and timely payments aligned with policy.

In this on-site role, you’ll reconcile accounts, support annual audits, and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to maintain accurate financial records and dependable operations. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of general ledger experience, strong Excel skills, and MAS 100 ERP exposure.

Qualifications

• Fluency in written and verbal communication is required.
• 2–4 years of relevant general ledger accounting experience.
• Ability to effectively communicate with other departments and within the accounting group.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word); MAS 100 ERP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and record vendor invoices in accounting systems.
• Ensure timely payment of fees and expenses according to policy and terms.
• Match pricing/quantity to purchase orders; follow up on variances.
• Maintain detailed account reconciliations.
• Distribute weekly and monthly cost reports.
• Rebill feed ingredients; send receivable invoices; monitor payment status.
• Assist in the annual external audit.
• Communicate with vendors on invoices, deliveries, and statements.
• Be approachable and a team player within accounting.
