Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including financial reporting and month-end close.
• Manufacturing accounting experience with standard costing and variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel and ERP systems proficiency; experience with automation or process improvement is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, and deadline-driven work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with journal entries, accruals, reconciliations.
• Oversee internal and external financial reporting.
• Manage standard costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and related manufacturing accounting activities.
• Support audits and strengthen accounting controls and documentation.
• Drive process improvements across systems, close procedures, and reporting workflows.
• Lead and develop accounting staff while promoting accountability and collaboration.

Compensation: $100,000–$130,000/year + bonus

Atlantic Group is hiring an Accounting Manager (Manufacturing) in Chester County, PA for our client, leading month-end close, financial reporting, cost accounting, and process improvement within a growing manufacturing environment. This role will oversee core accounting activities, support internal and external audits, provide financial analysis, and lead a team while helping strengthen accounting systems, processes, and controls. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong manufacturing, financial reporting, and standard cost accounting expertise.

Responsibilities as the Accounting Manager (Manufacturing):

• Financial Close: Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Financial Reporting: Oversee internal and external financial reporting while ensuring accurate and timely financial results.
• Cost Accounting: Manage standard costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and related manufacturing accounting activities.
• Audit & Controls: Support internal and external audits while strengthening accounting controls, documentation, and reporting processes.
• Process Improvement: Drive improvements across accounting systems, close procedures, reporting, automation, and financial workflows.
• Team Leadership: Manage and develop accounting professionals while promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications for the Accounting Manager (Manufacturing):

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required,CPA is preferred.
• Experience:Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience is required, including experience with financial reporting, month-end close, and related corporate accounting functions.
• Industry Knowledge: Manufacturing accounting experience with knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, cost accounting, and variance analysis is required.
• Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel and ERP system proficiency are required, with experience supporting financial reporting, systems implementations, automation, or process improvement preferred.
• Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership, analytical, communication, organization, problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to drive change in a deadline-driven environment are required.
