Job summary

Valar Atomics seeks a Production Quality Technician to perform in-process and final inspections on the Torrance floor for HTGR reactor components and fuel-related manufacturing. You will ensure procedural compliance, maintain traceability, and assist with CAPA while collaborating with Quality Supervisors and Engineers to uphold high standards.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret basic engineering drawings, specifications, and controlled documentation.
• Familiarity with dimensional inspection equipment or willingness to learn.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
• Comfortable in active manufacturing settings following safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections of components, assemblies, and materials per drawings and work instructions.
• Support hold-point coordination and witness activities during production builds.
• Maintain and verify build records and material traceability for audit readiness.
• Assist with setup and execution of inspection methods and measurement equipment.
• Identify discrepancies and escalate to supervisors or engineers promptly.
• Support operator verification tasks under the OVC program where delegated.
• Collaborate with operators, engineers, and supervisors to ensure quality requirements are understood.
• Contribute to nonconformance documentation and CAPA evidence.
