Job summary

Valar Atomics seeks a Construction Quality Inspector to support field quality execution for HTGR reactor construction and related infrastructure in Orangeville, Utah. You will help ensure work aligns with drawings, specs, and controlled processes while supporting multiple trades on active sites.

This entry-level role emphasizes hands-on learning, attention to detail, and the ability to operate within demanding construction environments in a fast-paced nuclear setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and controlled documentation.
• Comfortable operating in regulated construction environments and following safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support inspection and verification activities across construction, fabrication, assembly, installation, testing, and controlled field execution operations.
• Verify construction activities are performed in accordance with approved drawings and procedures.
• Assist with inspection hold points, witness points, turnover documentation, and traceability verification.
• Maintain inspection records and quality documentation for audit readiness.
• Identify discrepancies and escalate to leadership.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, and field personnel to ensure disciplined execution.
• Support field walkdowns, documentation reviews, and material identification activities.
• Learn and apply construction quality standards and inspection methodologies.
