Job summary

Axiom Technologies is seeking a reliable Desktop Support Engineer for on-site, on-demand IT support in Herndon, VA. You will resolve Windows desktop and hardware issues, configure devices, and assist with network connectivity at client sites as part of a flexible contract role.

Ideal candidates have strong Windows skills, hardware troubleshooting ability, basic networking knowledge, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop environments.
Experience in hardware troubleshooting and replacement.
Basic understanding of networking (LAN connectivity, switches, routers).
Ability to diagnose and resolve desktop, printer, and peripheral issues.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently in onsite support environments.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site desktop and IT support for end users at the client location.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software applications.
Support network connectivity issues, including LAN troubleshooting.
Assist with device setup, replacement, and hardware installations.
Perform basic network troubleshooting using console access when required.
Document service activities and communicate updates to the service delivery team.
Follow client IT policies and security procedures while performing onsite tasks.
