Job summary

Magellan Federal seeks an Assignment Ready Counselor (MFLC ARC) for the Florida Panhandle to provide short-term, surge and on-demand behavioral health counseling in military settings. The role covers adults, children and youth, often in DoD facilities, schools, and community programs.

Requires a Master’s in Behavioral Health or Social Work and an independent license, with readiness to work weekends and variable assignments. Fluency in English and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Requires Master’s degree in Behavioral Health or Social Work.
• Current licensure as an independently licensed behavioral health clinician.
• Must be fluent in English and able to work in military environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical, short-term, solution-focused counseling to adults, children and youth.
• Deliver training and health/wellness presentations and participate in base activities.
• Enter counselor activity data daily and maintain confidentiality.
• Engage with DoDEA, schools, youth programs and camp settings as assigned.
• Respond to critical incidents and adapt to varying assignments and locations.
