Job summary

Magellan Federal is seeking an Assignment Ready Counselor (ARC) to provide short-term, surge and on-demand behavioral health support for MFLC services. Duties include non-medical counseling for adults, children, and youth, and collaboration with DoD personnel and school staff.

The role may involve DoDEA or community schools and requires quick rapport, confidentiality, and flexibility to travel on military installations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Behavioral Health or Social Work is required.
• Must be licensed at the independent level in any state.
• Advanced knowledge of brief therapy and solution-focused counseling methods.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical, short-term counseling to adults, children and youth.
• Deliver training and health and wellness presentations; participate in health fairs.
• Enter counselor activity data daily and maintain confidentiality.
• Coordinate with DoD, DoDEA or community schools and report to POC as assigned.
