Job summary

Magellan Health seeks an Assignment Ready Counselor (ARC) to support MFLC programs at military installations. The role covers short-term, surge and on-demand counseling for adults, children, and youth, including DoDEA schools and community programs.

Responsibilities include brief, solution-focused therapy, training, and consultation with families, parents, and installation staff while maintaining confidentiality and rapid response to emergent situations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Behavioral Health or Social Work.
• Current licensure at independent level in any state (as Mental Health Counselor, Therapist, or Social Worker).
• Experience in school settings preferred for CYB role.
• Ability to work on short-notice assignments including weekends.
• Fluency in English and U.S. citizenship requirement for DoD programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical, short-term counseling to adults, children, and youth.
• Deliver brief therapy and solution-focused counseling.
• Support DoD DoDEA schools, youth programs, and community settings.
• Enter activity data daily and maintain confidentiality.
• Collaborate with program POCs to address installation needs.
