Job summary

Magellan Health is seeking an Assignment Ready Counselor (MFLC ARC) to provide on-demand behavioral health support on military installations. The role covers adults, children and youth, with brief therapy and crisis readiness support during surges and school break periods.

The role requires independent licensure in any state, US citizenship, and strong familiarity with military culture. Some positions may involve DoDEA or school settings and on-call scheduling.

Qualifications

• Licensed at independent level in any state as a Mental Health Counselor, Therapist, or Social Worker.
• Advanced knowledge of brief therapy and solution-focused counseling methods.
• Experience or familiarity with military culture and DoD programs preferred.
• Willing to cover short-notice assignments and varying lengths, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provides non-medical, short-term, solution-focused counseling to adults, children and youth of service members.
• Supports staff in DoDEA schools, CDCs, community schools, and youth programs, including parent training.
• Delivers health and wellness trainings and participates in health fairs and base/installation activities.
• Enters counselor activity data daily via smartphone or web app and maintains confidentiality.
