Job summary

Magellan Federal is seeking an experienced Military and Family Life Counselor (ARC) for short-term assignments and on-demand coverage. The Summer ARC counselor will provide non-medical, short-term counseling to service members and families at military installations, with a focus on adults and youth, and may work with DoDEA and school programs.

Responsibilities include brief therapy, training sessions, and coordination with installation points of contact.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a mental health field or social work from an accredited graduate program.
• Willing to accept assignments with short notice including weekends.
• Can cover full-time assignments ranging from a weekend to two weeks.
• Ability to quickly build rapport with service members, families and youth.

Responsibilities

• Provide short-term, solution-focused counseling to adults, children, and youth.
• Deliver training and health/wellness presentations; participate in health fairs and base activities.
• Enter counselor activity data daily via mobile or web app, maintaining confidentiality.
