About On Demand

You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand TM, with a flexible schedule based on store needs. This role allows you to create your own schedule by picking up shifts via our myTime mobile scheduling app. Regular attendance and active engagement are required, including responding to contact attempts and working at least once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours). Starting December 2024, you must work at least once every 5 months to avoid termination.

As an On-Demand TM, you'll attend a Target orientation and undergo short-term training to prepare for your role. The myTime app is used to pick up shifts.

Service & Engagement

Guest Advocates focus on delivering exceptional guest service, engaging with guests, resolving concerns, and promoting store offerings and services, including loyalty programs, digital features, and fulfillment options.

Typical Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent guest service and greet guests authentically.
• Observe and assist guests based on body language and cues.
• Use knowledge of store tools, products, and services to assist guests.
• Scan, bag, and process transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Promote current store events, launches, and loyalty programs.
• Assist with returns, de-escalate negative situations, and support order pickup and drive-up services.
• Maintain a clean work area, restock supplies, and support safety and compliance policies.
• Support cash operations and other duties as needed.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, are effective communicators, attentive to detail, and willing to learn about products and services. Basic technology operation skills are required.

Expectations

• Handle cash register operations accurately.
• Lift up to 44 pounds occasionally and work in varying temperatures and environments.
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Active engagement in shift pickup and response to contact attempts is mandatory.
