Job summary

BlueStar Resort & Golf in La Quinta, CA is seeking an On Course Host to welcome players, manage pace of play, and ensure a safe, enjoyable golf experience. You will assist guests with carts, course rules, and amenities while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• The position requires strong customer service orientation and the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Experience with golf or customer service on a course is preferred.
• Ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Check in with the manager on duty to learn that day's activities and course information.
• Set up the welcome area, ensure radios and communications work, and restock amenities.
• Welcome guests and provide information about cart safety, GPS, hazards, and area rules.
• Maintain a friendly presence and address guests by name.
• Coordinate player flow onto the course and present course rules to groups.
• Keep records of tee times, cart numbers, and players' names.
• Monitor course for compliance with golf and cart rules.
• Assist guests with services, such as raking bunkers or retrieving items from the Golf Shop, and help with reservations.
• Coordinate pace of play and advise on pickup when groups fall behind.
