Job summary

Boston Collegiate Charter School is seeking an indoor substitute to support daily classroom coverage and testing services. The role reports to the Operations Manager and requires a thoughtful, engaging, and collaborative approach.

Candidates should have at least two years of teaching experience in an urban public or charter school setting and be prepared to discuss diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.

Qualifications

• Two years teaching experience in an urban public school or charter school setting preferred, but not required.
• Ability to speak authentically about the imperative for diversity, equity, and inclusion in schools.
• Willingness to collaborate with colleagues, students, and families.

Responsibilities

• On-campus from 7:00-4:00pm daily, subbing up to 6 periods out of 7, including pull-out testing services for students with IEPs, and completing tasks after school.
• Assist the Operations Team with daily tasks as requested by the Operations Manager or Director of Operations.
• Communicate and collaborate with colleagues, students, and families; hold students accountable to academic and behavioral expectations.
