Job summary

Lansing Community College is seeking a Student Employee - Science Preparation Lab Aide for up to 25 hours per week on campus. This pooled position supports the Science Lab Preparations Team across Biology, Chemistry, and Physical Sciences by setting up and dismantling experiments and maintaining labs and equipment.

Regular on-campus presence is required; training emphasizes safety. Applicants must be LCC students with minimum credits and GPA, and international students must meet USCIS enrollment

Qualifications

• Enrolled and actively attending total LCC credits: Fall and/or Spring = 6.0 credits minimum (taken over 16-week period).
• Summer Semester = 3.0 credits minimum (taken over 8-week period).
• HS diploma or GED; pursuing degree at LCC; GPA requirements apply (2.00 min).

Responsibilities

• Assist with setting up and dismantling experiments and maintain science labs/equipment across Biology, Chemistry, and Physical Sciences.
• Prepare solutions and lab components; clean or repair equipment and follow safe lab practices.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Active enrollment as an LCC student (6 credits Fall/Spring; 3 credits Summer)

Pursuing a certificate, associate, or undergraduate degree at Lansing Community College
