Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly and monthly payroll accurately and timely.
• Calculate overtime, deductions, and bonuses.
• Process, verify and validate hours from time and attendance system.
• Handle garnishments and child support orders.
• Verify hours for accuracy of wages and taxes.
• Respond to payroll inquiries with high level of customer service.
• Pay employees by running processes and sending electronic transfers.
• Identify and resolve payroll issues by reviewing policies.
• Update payroll records with changes in hours, exemptions, and garnishments.
• Test and implement new PeopleSoft functionality to meet needs.
• Collaborate with team to meet deadlines.
• Prepare reports on earnings, taxes, deductions, and leaves in compliance with regulations.
• Determine payroll liabilities including taxes and employer contributions.
• Follow state, federal, and university policies.
• Assist in strategy development to improve productivity and accuracy.
• Assist in checks and balances to assure accuracy.
