Job summary

Merrimack College seeks an organized and collaborative leader to oversee advising operations at the Lucey Center. You will manage data processes, reporting, and system administration (Cognos Analytics, Slate, J1) to support student progress and degree completion, while coordinating center-wide communications and initiatives.

The role requires 3+ years in undergraduate advising or related operations, strong Excel and CRM skills, and a commitment to serving a diverse student population on campus

Qualifications

• Three-plus years in undergraduate advising, registrar, or student-systems operations.
• Degree audit experience (J1 advising trees or similar).
• Strong understanding of educational requirements and advising processes.
• Comfort with report and query tools and advanced Excel.
• Experience with CRM software (Slate and/or J1 preferred).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate automation of semesterly data collection and reporting.
• Review student schedules and adjust prerequisites for upcoming terms.
• Generate institutionally validated student data reports using Cognos and Slate.
• Serve as the functional administrator for advising workflows in Slate.
• Organize and oversee center-wide student communications.
• Coordinate Lucey Center initiatives with staff and graduate fellows.
• Plan advising information sessions each semester.
• Implement advisor auto-assignments in J1 and maintain data integrity.
• Liaise with Registrar’s Office for catalog and schedule reviews.
