Job summary

Georgetown University’s Main Campus in Washington, DC seeks an experienced HVAC Mechanic to maintain heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems across university facilities. You will respond to service calls, perform preventative maintenance and support daily operations to keep buildings safe and comfortable.

The role requires five years of relevant experience, EPA certification, and strong knowledge of DDC/EMS controls.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years’ experience in commercial and residential HVAC/refrigeration
• Universal EPA – CFC certification
• Completion of apprenticeship or four years of equivalent training in the HVAC/R trade
• General knowledge of DDC/EMS system and computer controls
• Computer literacy
• A valid driver’s license from MD/DC/VA

Responsibilities

• Manage all repairs/maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration systems and components up to DDC/EMS panels
• Perform journeyman level maintenance and repairs per industry practices
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and unscheduled or special projects
• Use standard tools and safety rules to perform duties
