Job summary

Georgetown University in Washington, DC is seeking a General Building Maintenance Technician to maintain university buildings, systems and equipment. The role includes routine maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and related components, and performing semi-skilled repairs to support building users.

This is an on-campus, full-time position with 40 hours per week, reporting to a Zone Manager or Central Shop Supervisor, focusing on safe, reliable operation of campus facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years’ experience in general building maintenance.
• Training program in general building maintenance (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, lock, basic HVAC).

Responsibilities

• Maintain building structures, systems and equipment as part of facilities management.
• Perform routine and semi-skilled maintenance and minor repairs.
• Provide daily maintenance support and respond to service calls, inspections and similar tasks.
