Ball State University is seeking a full-time HVAC-R Technician for the District Energy Station North campus. Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
• US Department of Labor registered apprenticeship in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning; or five (5) years of commercial HVAC or refrigeration experience.
• EPA Section608 Universal certification.
• Must read and comprehend all policies, procedures, and communications.
• Scissor lift operator certification or ability to obtain within ninety (90) days of hire.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License and be insurable.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on HVAC/R equipment and report work on Preventive Maintenance Forms.
• Install, adjust, and repair HVAC/R systems and related appliances.
• Troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair controls on HVAC/R equipment; read gauges, meters, and thermostats.
• Inspect, maintain, lubricate pumps, motors, dampers, coils, belts, and related equipment.
• Maintain and operate central chilled plants and distribution systems; work with cooling towers and control systems.
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications for HVAC/R equipment.
