Job summary

Milton Hershey School is seeking Full-time Flex Houseparents for couples who will reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8-13 students per home. The roles include supervision, meal planning, transportation, devotions, and activities, with a focus on fostering academic, emotional, and social growth.

Two-spouse couples must be legally married for at least two years, both at least 27, and possess a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty.
• Valid U.S. drivers license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models for students.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
