The position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, strong lab skills, safety knowledge, and the ability to work with students and faculty. The role is 100% on-site with full benefits and a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience/training.
• Knowledge of chemistry and physics principles.
• Knowledge of lab safety policies and waste handling procedures.
• Practical knowledge of modern laboratory instrumentation.
• Laboratory skills for weighing, mixing, and pH adjustment.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with solvents in multiple labs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials and set up equipment for laboratory experiments.
• Prepare and standardize reagents and solutions.
• Interact with faculty and TAs to troubleshoot problems.
• Set up, test, calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments.
• Maintain supplies and reagent inventories.
• Communicate safe use of hazardous materials to students.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and organize prep areas.
• Notify students of hazards and safety precautions.
• Monitor and decontaminate equipment and labs as needed.
• Direct student workers to clean and prepare lab benches.
