Job summary

University of Louisiana at Lafayette is seeking an Area Coordinator for its Division of Student Success. The role oversees a 1,000–1,500 resident area, recruits and trains staff, and ensures a safe, engaging living environment that supports student development.

The coordinator lives in on-campus housing and supports evening and weekend programming, crisis response, and collaboration with campus partners to enhance student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred.
• Experience in Residence Life or housing is preferred.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and develop residential staff including RAs and Directors.
• Recruit, onboard, schedule, and develop staff for a 1,000–1,500 resident area.
• Live in on-campus housing and be available evenings and weekends.
• Address emergencies and connect students to campus resources.
• Collaborate with Housing and Residential Life to support daily operations.
