Job summary

Monmouth University seeks an Adjunct Professor of Printmaking for Spring 2027 with hands-on expertise in Intaglio, Photo-Emulsion Silk-Screen, and/or Book Arts. Courses are taught in-person on the West Long Branch campus, with regular postings to expand the pool of qualified adjunct faculty.

This is an in-person, on-campus, non-remote position; duties include teaching up to two courses per semester and developing engaging coursework to support the Art & Design curriculum.

Qualifications

• MFA in Printmaking, Studio Art, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated hands-on studio expertise in a combination of Intaglio, Photo-Emulsion Silk-Screen, and/or Book Arts.
• Ability to safely manage a printmaking studio environment, including equipment operation per OSHA/EPA standards.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to two courses per semester (six credit hours total).
• Develop and deliver lectures, discussions, and assignments aligned with curriculum objectives.
• Provide timely feedback and grades to students.
• Foster an inclusive learning environment and meet with students outside class as needed.
• Prepare exams and projects to assess student learning outcomes.
