Job summary

Monmouth University in West Long Branch, NJ invites applications for an Adjunct Professor of Printmaking beginning Spring 2027. The successful candidate will teach hands-on intaglio, photo-emulsion silk-screen, and/or book arts in an on-campus studio.

Adjuncts typically teach 3-6 credits per semester and duties include delivering lectures, meetings with students, and timely assessment. This is a part-time, in-person position with a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Qualifications

• MFA in Printmaking, Studio Art, or a closely related field.
• Hands-on studio expertise in Intaglio, Photo-Emulsion Silk-Screen, and/or Book Arts.
• Ability to safely manage a printmaking studio per OSHA/EPA standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to two courses per semester (six credit hours total).
• Develop and deliver lectures, discussions and assignments.
• Provide time during the week to meet with students outside of class.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Develop and administer projects and exams to evaluate student learning outcomes.
