Job summary

Monmouth University seeks an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science to teach part-time in the Computer Science/Software Engineering department at the West Long Branch campus. Courses are taught in person; adjuncts typically teach 3–6 credits per semester with schedules set by the department.

The position is on-site and non-remote, with applications reviewed as openings arise. Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field and strong communication skills.

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach 3-6 credits per semester in-person at West Long Branch campus.
• Develop and deliver lectures, discussions and assignments aligned with the curriculum.
• Provide time to meet with students outside class.
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Develop and administer projects and exams and provide timely grades.
• Provide timely feedback and guidance to students.
