The University of Wyoming in Laramie is seeking an Accountant for the Research & Economic Development Division to manage expenditures, budgets, and grants across REDD units. This on-campus role emphasizes accuracy, reporting, and collaboration with principal investigators and leadership.

Required is a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance and at least 1 year of relevant experience. A strong knowledge of UW policies, payroll, and sponsored programs is preferred. On-campus presence is required.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or MIS/Accounting or Finance or related field (or equivalent combinations)
• 1 year work-related experience
• On-campus work required
• Eligible to work in the United States; sponsorship for work authorization or visas is not available

Mansioni

• Manage fiscal items for units within Research & Economic Development Division, including contracts, procurement, travel expenses, requisitions and reconciling procurement cards
• Manage assigned grants by establishing account structures, monitoring expenditures and balances, processing expenses, preparing financial reports, and coordinating with principal investigators
• Prepare and deliver financial reports to staff, directors, and division leadership, providing transparency into state and indirect cost funding
• Perform administrative tasks related to special projects and improvement of systems, processes, and policies affecting unit operations
• Forecast and manage department budgets and grants after reconciling revenue and expenses to stay within budgets
