Job summary

First Step Communities is hiring a Client Support Associate (CSA) in an on-call, in-person role located in Sacramento. The CSA will monitor clients at the Grove campus, provide safety watch, and assist in directing clients to shelter, dining and services to end homelessness.

The role requires flexibility to work evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays, with shifts assigned per staffing needs. Reports to the Program Manager; on-call position with a pay of $21.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Driver's License or Government ID (Required)

Responsibilities

• Monitor and facilitate transition of guests to shelter/cabins and orient dining, counseling, meeting areas.
• Maintain sustained concentration to perform essential duties accurately and safely.
• Exercise sound judgment in high-stress situations.
• Lead conflict resolution and maintain professional composure.
• Process and analyze information, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Ensure clients and visitors check in/check out of the facility.
• Write daily activity logs and incident reports; attend to shifts as scheduled.
