On-Call School Food Service Worker (Campus Rotations)

Job summary

AVI Foodsystems' operation within the Cleveland Area Schools is hiring friendly, service-oriented people for on-call Food Service Worker roles. The position travels between schools within a 60-minute radius, covering assignments as staffing needs arise.

The hours are typically Monday–Friday with very few evenings and weekends. Pre-employment drug testing is conducted; EOE. This is an on-call position designed to provide flexible extra coverage for our school dining program.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License (CDL not required).
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Analytical and organized.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods and store food properly.
• Set up stations with entrées, soups, salads, breads, condiments, and utensils.
• Interact with guests in serving, retail and dining areas.
• Follow proper guest service procedures—greet guests with a smile and eye contact.
• Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment per rules and procedures.
• Maintain a fast pace and multitask while performing duties.
• Willing to drive to different locations within a 60 minute radius.
• No reimbursement for gas, mileage or drive time.
