Job summary

AVI Foodsystems in the Cleveland area is hiring for an on-call Food Service Worker. The role covers multiple schools, with typical hours Monday–Friday and occasional evenings or weekends as needed. You will assist with food prep and service, and travel between locations within a 60-minute radius.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License (a CDL is NOT required).
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to effectively work independently and utilize time efficiently.
• Ability to be analytical and organized.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods, and properly stores food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage.
• Set up stations with entrées, soups, salads, breads, condiments, other food products and utensils.
• Interact with guests in the serving, retail and dining areas.
• Follow proper guest service procedures by smiling, making eye contact and greeting guests.
• Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment following all client and regulatory rules and procedures.
• Maintain a fast pace and ability to multitask when performing duties.
• Perform any other duties as specified by management.
• Willing to drive to different locations within a 60 minute radius.
