Job summary

Whitsons Culinary Group in Vermont is seeking a Substitute School Food Service Worker to support our CVSU nutrition program. This role offers Fuel the Future! flexible, on-call hours with daytime shifts typical in schools.

You will prep, portion, and serve meals, maintain sanitation, and contribute to a welcoming mealtime atmosphere. Training is provided; prior food service experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Must complete Whitsons and government-mandated training as required.
• Minimum 1 year of professional food service experience preferred but not required.
• ServSafe certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to speak and read English and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Prep, portion, and serve meals to students and staff.
• Set up and clean serving areas and kitchen equipment.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Contribute to a positive and welcoming mealtime atmosphere.
