Job summary

Whitsons Culinary Group is hiring a Substitute School Food Service Worker at Somersworth High School in Somersworth, NH. This flexible, on-call role fits around your life with no nights, weekends, or holidays and summers off, while still making a meaningful impact in local schools.

You’ll prep, portion, and serve meals to students and staff, set up serving areas, maintain safety and cleanliness, and support the team as needed. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must complete all Whitsons and government-mandated training as required.
• Minimum 1 year of professional food service experience preferred but not required.
• ServSafe certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to speak and read English sufficient to understand and perform job assignments, follow recipes, and comply with safety requirements.
• Positive attitude and willingness to help.
• Dependability and attention to cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Prep, portion, and serve meals to students and staff.
• Set up and clean serving areas and kitchen equipment.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Contribute to a positive and welcoming mealtime atmosphere.
• Support the team and jump in wherever needed.
