Job summary

Hospice of the West is seeking a Full Time On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) to support hospice patients and families in Mesa, AZ. The role emphasizes rapid assessment, care coordination, and compassionate, in-home support during critical moments.

You'll work a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule (Friday to Friday, 5pm–8am) with ongoing professional growth through our onboarding and career-path programs. A BSN and active RN license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or health care preferred.
• Hold current unencumbered RN license.
• Minimum one year RN experience in medical-surgical/acute care; hospice a plus.
• Must be proficient with computers and EMR systems.
• CPR certification as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Be the Lifeline: respond to a variety of patient needs and provide unwavering support in critical moments.
• Provide empathetic assessments across physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation in patient home care and agency records.
• Support families by sharing knowledge, guiding and reassuring during end-of-life care.
